The Condom Aunty

Well well.. With all the measures falling flat on ground (sometimes even below it), the Kolkata has come up with another funny means to teach people the use (and probably usage) of condoms. :)

Once you are in Kolkata you are confronted with huge hoardings and signboards with the Condom Aunty (I love to call her that;) ) instructing a couple to keep a condom along all the time. Since "Ichha kabhi bhi jaag sakti hai". You see man, okay human beings, being animal after all, the hoarding more importantly makes a strong point not to reign control over your earthly desires, instead go ahead, do it, but make sure you are protected and you keep the society protected too :) So for all the guys and gals (since they are no less earthly) around, load yourself with a pack of condoms whenever you step out of your home. I already have. ;)

Maan the way this thing has caught up, its gross. Its like a virus, plaguing us all, making us all sit hooked on. But then who cares ;)
You get so many people online, you would ever get to see anywhere else and that includes babes and beauties too [:D]

Well, isn't that a good enough reason to be here :D I think it is and so I am. And if you're not, you're out. [;)]

Pro-Vogue and Worldspace

Hmmm… Once upon a time we used to have radios that used to catch FM and AM signals from as far as Delhi. Then technology advanced and we got satellite radios which can give you transmission from any part of the world.

“Whew, that’s so cool, the world space radio” said one of my friends. I thought yeah, just one time investment and you get to listen all great music round the clock from around the world. Wow.

I was fascinated. More so because the morning I saw a full page blown up ad in the newspaper that had Fardeen Khan luring me to buy apparels of Provogue. Ain’t interested as I usually am, so quickly skipped. But jus then, hold on, what’s this !! “Buy merchandise worth rupees 4000 or above and get a WorldSpace satellite radio worth rupees 1995 free”. Thud, and I fall off my bed (luckily I sleep on a mattress right on the floor so the height from which I fell was just 6 inches). But then, the offer’s great. I always wanted to have a radio at home, but was too lazy to go out and buy, this is the chance for me. I would get to do big time apparel shopping (oh I luuuuvvvvv shoppin) and would get a radio free (he he).

Hullo! Next thing, rang my friend up, and fixed shopping time. Sharp at 5 we were at Central :) looking around to find the Provogue stall (in between looking at how god created some of its master pieces.. oooo). Finally got there, “Hello sir, wo offer aj news paper me aaya tha, wo sahi hai na!” (the usual skeptical me). Got a nod and went ahead to browse. “Hmmmm…. Is it that this is a new kind of gimmick of end of season sale?”, I asked my friend. “Nothing here seems great, I have seen Provogue collections, nothing like it.” I was down, but not out. So we decided to get to the exclusive showroom of Provogue. Off we went and took a 4 kilometer way to get to the store that was just across the street to Central (gosh I need a Hyderabad map!). Okay, finally the collection seems like Provogue and this is a genuine offer. “Hail Provogue”, I shout in my heart and jumped to select and try out cloths. Ended up with 2 half sleeve shirts, a tee and a trouser, and a whooping grand total of 4180 :D

“So when would we get our radio?” I asked. “2 days”, came the reply, “Then these people would come and set the thing up for you, and you won’t need to pay any subscription now, 3 months free.” I said, “Hmm.. Okay”, and went on to pay the bill. But wait a sec, what did he say, “3 months free :O”. This is a subscription based service and that too, 1800 bucks a year, ohmegaud, someone hold me, I am fainting.

Damn so this is the catch, I was feeling bad, and the only respite was that I had got good cloths. And along with that I had got a wailing baby. That would wail in 40 different ways on just a click of a button and die in just 3 months due to lack of life. And after that I would have to bribe “Yamraaj” to get it wailing again. Huh.
End note: Please do check out all the offers that you see in the newspaper, at least enquire about it before you indulge yourself. Some people learn from experience. 8-|

Outsourcing is not just a business model, rather it is deep into the roots of our lives. Be it the class notes that we let our nerdy friends take and get a copy done, or be it studying-under-mutual-understanding to jointly clear papers in the exams, or be it the bashing up of a friend, when we were kids, with the help of another 'mustanda' friend for a lollypop, or be it the current hues and cries that are emerging from US and a few European countries for the work being dumped on foolish and cheaply available Indians.

But as the saying goes, there's always a 'Pahad (Mountain)' for every 'Uunt Camel'. Read through this and you would find there's a divine intervention even in the Outsourcing stuff that goes around us since we take our 'berth' in this humble world :)

Yesterday i woke up at 12:30, unusually early given the fact it was Saturday, and went for lunch at a nearby Tiffin Center (I always wonder if they would give us a the order packed in a tiffin box ;) more on this later, I don't want the interest of this post being outsourced from some other one). As is the case every weekend, as I came out, i was clueless what to do next. Just then I saw a APSRTC bus heading to 'Chilkur Balaji Temple', I ignored and went ahead. As it passed by, there was another, going to same 'Chilkur Balaji Temple'. Grrr... I thought, its time. "Chalo bulawa aaya hai, Shri Balaji ne bulaya hai". So i hopped in the bus. It ended up being a 10 rupees, 40 minutes journey, hooff...!!! Went in and found the temple so very small, against the amount of reputation that it has. I did my puja and it lasted only for a few moments, both the mandirs together would have accounted for around 3 minutes. I came out and headed back to my home, and this time it took me a rupee less and fifteen more minutes to get back giving a strange equation of a rupee being equivalent to fifteen Hyderabadi minutes. (But mine should deserve more at least by fifty more paise)

Then I went to my uncle’s place and the real story begun there. There I discovered that Shri Chilkur Balaji bhagwaan specializes in Visas and HE is termed by many as being the Shri Visa Bhagwaan. Hmmm… I begin thinking, so there are departments for prayer redressals up above. I discovered more that there's a temple in the posh Banjara Hills here where we have Shri Exam Bhagwaan. Be it secondary, boards, competitions, or any other kind of it, one prayer and it's done with your dedication. I guess there would be more. We all have heard of the Asthma Mela which is flocked with asthma patients from around the globe to get a life free from the goddamn inhalers. Then we have Gods who take care of our heavenly alignment of the 'Grahas', who take care of us falling sick and getting well (ex. Chicken Pox), etc. etc.

So we see, it's just a divine intervention in the Outsourcing thing. To unload the burden, The One, The Divine, The Creator, they gave us a customized figure to worship and pray to. For all our needs there is one Divine Figure we go to and see it all coming true in real time :) The various departments (Passports, Visas, Exams, Illness) are at work round the clock and around the globe, to make the world we live in, better and brighter with each day. Putting a smile on every face that comes to The Divine, through any department.

One thing we should never forget, even with the outsourced Divinity, what remains in the end and above all is the same, and it is universal :)

Dedicated to the undying spirits faith and togetherness of true Indians, who are blessed with most of the divinity directly or Outsourced :)

PS: For all those nasty thinkers, I did brush and took bath before going for the lunch at the Tiffin Center ;)

First Viva and the Big Hole...

Strange !!?? Wouldn't be when you read through !!

So finally after lazily submitting the two monthly reports we got the first feel of our real project term. March 3, we had our first mid semester viva regarding our 6'th sem project. And what turned out to be just a peice of formality and trouble for us poor souls who have to 'rail' down from so faaaaar off places.. :| Anyways, no sweat, after all we have to finish our degrees, so no complaints :D

Now for the Big Hole.. ;) If your mind drifted to some filthy thoughts, blame it to my reputation, but its not what i have to tell you. The Big Hole was no where by in the wallet.. and the saaadest part is the wallet was mine. First time to college after we started rakin cash, the ferocious juniors pounced on us from all directions and we poor souls were as if standing naked without any protection. We tried hard, tried to seem busy in dept with viva, played vollyball instead of going to canteen, slept till long into the afternoon, but it happened.. finally did.. the Big Hole.. All that we, at least I, saved from the first month's cheque, seeped out like water oozing from sponges.. :|

But the dinner was good :) and as always being with your gang, you always have that kick in you, you always fly high.. :)

Me coincidently had 2 dinners within 3 hours.. and both the time i was the host, or one among the host, so had a bigger dent to my favour than my gangs who shared the Big Hole..

We released our new tee also during the trip.. The Bad Boyz, office edition. On special demand from few of our cores, we came out with the formal polo tee with our logo sewed over it. Looks too good. Steel Gray and red stitchings. Cool..

Now we all are back in our offices.. Safe, sound and in one peice with jus the Hole left behind.. :)

India is catching up in all the fields with other countries, be it technology infrastructure fashion or literature.. Everything here and there is getting inspired with some 'foren' element into it.

Only those already lying on their death beds would be unaware of the latest advancement that our country had. We have got the coveted distinction of catching "flu" - Avaian, as it is said has become the latest 'Buzz-Word' in the whole country.

Specially my mobile is singing this quite very often. Whenever i get a call from home, or i call, all what i hear now is "flu" this.. "flu" that.. and YOU ARE NOT EATING ANY CHICKEN ...!!!
(untill further notice...)

Poor me like people.. :( What to do.. we cant eat chicken at any cost it seems. Despite the hoo halla that the Animal Husbandry ministers are doing (with their 30 minutes cooked chicken at 70 degrees) the people here at hyderabad and of course back at home, are not going to move. (We do have strong determination against things that are lethal to our national interests you see.. )

Poor birds too.. Heard over 3 lakhs were killed in just 2 days to prevent Avain terror....!!! Gosh.. what a big time waste.. :|

Anyways.. I do pray to god that they refer to their 'Chicken Generating Department' and ask the fellows there to send pre vaccinated chickens to earth.. So that poor souls like me can feast and be merry.

Moreover "Whats the fun in being killed, without being 'tandoorified'...!!"

* You don't have to do much work and no tension of deadlines as such.

* You don't have to worry too much about writing robust or error free code at all the times, since most of the stuff you write are to be re-written or trashed ;)

* You don't have to pay taxes on the stipend you earn.

Launch in 45 Days..

45 days into office and i was a part of a Launch Party at Microsoft.

Our team MBOS yesterday evening 1930 IST (0600 PST) released Microsoft's Web Hosting application "Office Live". The team, half at Hyderabad half at Redmond, celebrated it together in a Video Conference today morning at breakfast (dinner for the people at Redmond ;))

Work and Night Outs..

Well, finally I celebrated my monthly anniversary two days back. Gosh its one month since I joined and it seems like yesterday only. When I used to wander around finding my ways through the seemingly never ending maze of cubes and finally would end up in Celina’s room to guide me through. :D

It’s been great, the feeling. Being in the world’s biggest software giant does give you a kick of sort. So I remain drunk, all the time. ;)

Life is finally settling down in Hyderabad. Have almost fixed a routine kind of stuff for the office. Arrive here by midday and leave by morning ;) its tough to spend time at home doing anything else besides sleeping you see.

Got my first pay check too, and got it cashed too in a new account :D It’s a great feeling you see. But then not much is to be saved from this I guess, and by the way who wants to ;) Will go for a major shopping in few days.

My First Day in Office.. :)

So finally.. i'm here.. at MS. My first day and i got my cube with a comp and an empty space.. looks very empty though..

Arrived around 9:15 am, my uncle's friend had come along to drop me off. Like some some filmy drama we did'nt get parking space for the next 20 minutes and we were being shuttled between the 3 gates that the campus has got in the front (yet to discover the backdoors and the tunnels.. :D).

Finally we parked the vehicle at the roadside and dropped in. I told bye bye to my uncle, and off i went to sign on the register to enter into the office. The reception was one among the more formal ones that i've ever seen, with the people behind the desk clad in full suits and speaking like management pros.. Again wait.. Today it happened to be the joining for lots of new recruits so i had to again wait for a long time till my name was called and me being the only intern to join and my name not in the employees' list i got the go ahead only after the confirmation from the HR Head. whew.. but then finally in..

Was escorted by Revathy the HR to meet Celina, (my group's R coordinator i guess :0) ). Left behind the new employees and went straight ahead to my office. Celina then led me to the cubicle, it faces window and i have a great view.. :) can do some sight seeing if getting bored.. :0) I was given my ID and password to work on and pretty soon i did my first login :o)

Since there is shortage of space where my team sits, i've got a cubicle with other group. The guy in the next cubicle is some Mr. uuuuummmm... (will remember later :-/) and he is into some real gossiping with the girl (today in green top :o)) who sits in the cubicle in front of him.. Darn.. I guess there would be no one left for me to gossip.. :( anyways that's life..

Then i met Mr. Tyagi.. Abhishek again, who is a manager in our team, though i wont be reporting to him. Celina brought him along and introduced me. My manager happens to be on leave for the next month so i guess i would not be having anything much to do for the next few days... :) i can spend the time to explore and find my ways between the 'bhul-bhulaiya' that they have made. I leterally got lost despite remembering the landmarks, everywhere it looks so similar and all the same. Its gonna take hell of time to get used to it.

Hey by the way finally my neighbour has stopped gissiping and has got back to his work.. i know continuous work is streneous so i think he is doing the right thing.. Guess i'll also have to find some stupid who has nothing to do for at least the next few days... :o)

Anyways.. thats that.. now i'm sitting in my cubicle and typing this out.. guess will pour out something everyday from now on... :D :D

Funny things on internet. Lots of things roam around and god they are so damn funny.

Here's one..

This is a story about a couple who had been happily married for years. The only friction in their marriage was thehusband's habit of farting loudly every morning when he awoke. The noise would wake his wife and the smell would make her eyes water and make her gasp for air.

Every morning she would plead with him to stop ripping them off because it was making her sick. He told her he couldn't stop it and that it was perfectly natural. She told him to see a doctor; she was concerned that one day he would blow his guts out. The years went by and he continued to rip them out!

Then one Christmas morning as she was preparing the turkey for dinner and he was upstairs sound asleep, she looked at the bowl where she had put the turkey innards and neck, gizzard, liver and all the spare parts. A malicious thought came to her. She took the bowl and went upstairs where her husband was sound asleep and gently pulling back the bed covers, she pulled back the elastic waistband of his underpants and emptied the bowl of turkey guts into his shorts.
Sometime later she heard her husband waken with his usual trumpeting, which was followed by a blood curdling scream and the sound of frantic footsteps as he ran into the bathroom. The wife could hardly control herself as she rolled on the floor laughing , tears in her eyes!

After years of torture she reckoned she had got him back pretty good. About twenty minutes later, her husband came downstairs in his bloodstained underpants with a look of horror on his face.

She bit her lip as she asked him what was the matter. He said, "Honey, you were right. All these years you have warned me and I didn't listen to you."

"What do you mean?" asked his wife.

"Well you always told me that one day I would end up farting my guts out, and today it finally happened. But by the grace of God, some Vaseline, and these two fingers, I think I got most of them back in."

So here was a situation for all of us poor souls at the boys hostel at college..

Heard half of out city was deep under flood and we at our colleges did'nt even have water to drink.. let alone wash of our @#$%# after coming from the loo...

and this remained for 4 long days... hmmmphh... its a miracle we are still alive... :D

anyways we are back to normal, thats square one.. :D

water is there now in hostel and we are able to wash off and do more...

Strange things do happen in life, which leave you thinking if this is really true, really happening to you...

So finally i left the coveted Technical Sect and went back to my good ol' software :)

This was great. My weirdiest of dreams were coming true and i was the next person in light of lime ;)

And it took all of just 13 questions to get into the world's biggest software company.

MICROSOFT, says it all...

Finally after a long wait, came the D Day,

That had me surprised and swept me away,

I get something when i least expect,

To join the coveted technical sect.

Bupms and kicks and treats and sweets flowed,

With smiles and happiness my face glowed,

I had it all, excitement and zeal,

On top of world, was what that i feel.

Software and Hardware, it was all a mix,

With a compensation that was three point six,

Things fell into place, the way they were meant,

Me finally got placed in something called Conexant.

The treat followed, the same evening,

With my gang dancing, in tandem they sing,

Chips and drinks stashed at aishwarya's stand,

With a hole in my pocket worth 3.5 grand.

Khair, this was to happen one or other day,

When the gang was to come over me and rob,

And drinks in celebrations had to flow,

With me getting on campus, my first ever job.

The New Breed...

Hmmm... So finally the new breed of MCAs have joined the bandwagon recently.
59 in all the MCA batch has been in full strength after a long time. And owing to this fact we have got few of the joniors orphaned, without any 'baap' or 'dada'. Alas... they dont have to worry about getting to know their corresponding 'senior' and 'super senior'.

My lineage finally got a blossom with my grand child being a girl, one who would be my aunty once we are on streets. So now me and my child Murali would have to think some family planning now (darn chromosomes). By the way, our new kid is christened 'Jeyashri' and she's from chennai (even more darned, to resemble our Honourable Class Rep!!).

Anyways life's going on. We went to the class and checked out the juniors. Communications Skills bad as usual, in fact its getting worse... God help. The average age too getting higher day by day, with a granny of 75 years (oops born in '75) dropping in to the clan this time. Technically too, god save 'em, they are pathetic. Even the comp scis are horrific.

A week into our abode, lets see whats in store for us in them.

Kela Chain..

Uff... this is getting into my nerves [or some undefined place] now, the 'kelas' getting bigger and better with each goddamn company. May be the upper cutoff funda... It seems i'm getting too good for the companies. Darn how long would i have to wait. :|

As of now our gang is yet to open score, jus waiting for a grand opening it seems.

The first guy came with a gift wrapped in 10 years of freedom, that turned out to be a golden kela that he put inside and yelled Yahoo! The next kela, that i mistook for Shaw Wallace's best intoxicants turned out to be a smooth and deep kela, that intoxicated in a different way...

Khair, the kela line seems to grow, now after getting to know that wont be able to go kela hunting in some marshes.

Hmmm... life is going pretty busy now a days, with 33 of my daughters getting married as of now it gives a bit of relief. Mighty grooms are coming day in and day out and taking a few along. Just waiting to shed all the load off my shoulders.

Classes are another pain in the arse, too much of troubles (even though i'm not attending any of them :D)

Rest is fine and kicking. ;)

You sweat out for it, the dedication towards it unmatched,
Just to find out at the end, everything from you being snatched.

The life now sucks, each and every minute of it,

The Hard Long Day...

Hmmmm.... this tee-pee thing is now getting into the head of me... and this is just the begining. From morning six to night eleven (that too with only 3 hours of sleep the night over) is hell lot, and the trouble is there's more to follow.

Woke up yesterday, to the homecoming of my super senior at 6. Then went along with him all the day to the department, to our HOD to students of other departments, and then to (of course) my classmates. What to do he had a word for everyone (although being repeated). Then a movie (Super Star in Chandramukhi) and then the silver lining to it the stumptous dinner at sangeethas. But that's not all, the bus in which we had booked the ticket, broke down suddenly, and then my poor super had to move along in a non-AC bus (too much of a trouble). It all ended with the see off at 10:30 and i turned my ass back to CBS and headed to college. Reached and plop onto the bed. :) (who can do anything else after all these...!!!)

Anyways, we did get an insight into how the company is from inside. Got to know that there were many things that the companies do for their emplopies rather than just giving them a comp to work and a lumpsum amount at the end of the month. So this is gonna make choosing of companies pretty difficult for me. Lets see.

Rest is going fine, the JADE remains empty still, but 2 of my friends just dropped in tomorrow, so not starkly empty though. The heat is rising day by day here and making our lives hot as hell. But here is one respite that we get from our tee-pee, round the clock AC.

Wooh... it seems that life's left jade, it feels so empty and blank. Everyone nearly everyone has left the hostel to their home, or to their's their home. Only me poor fella left here nothing much in hand to do than updating my blog. Aarrrhhhh.... i dont like this.

Anyways that's life. Today after a decent gap of three months i washed the upper half of my cloths, the lower half would go tomorrow i guess. Lot of things have to be done, now that the exams are over, i have to get my quota of lost sleep, eating out, network gaming, chatting, etc, etc, blah blah...

So am ready and set to catch up with things.

Just jade seems soo empty.

Ho ho ho...

So the semester exams are finally over and out of the way. Now the life becomes cool. As its said all's well that ends well, so i guess now life is better and inspiring given the way i did my last two papers :) Papers were easy but still, i wrote nicely in the exams. For a change finished off my papers completely in the 3 hours, wrote full 5 questions and wrote them to my satisfaction. Whatever is the result i just wish and pray that i continue to have my 8 point history, if its more than 8.35 (that would result in increasing my average CGPA).

Lets see, fingers crossed. :)

PS: We got our passports recently. One of my friends was complaining "My mother's name has been printed wrong, on the Passport". Our sardar classmate comes from one side and asks, "On Who's Passport ?"

The Final Destination

Once there was a conductor, of a bus, who was very rude to his passengers. One day a beautiful young girl, of around 18 years, tried to board the bus, but the conductor didn't stop the bus. Unfortunately the beautiful young girl came under the bus and died on the spot. Angry passengers took the conductor to the police station, who in turn took him to the court. The judge was not at all impressed with the conductor and gave him capital punishment, i.e. to be electrocuted. He was taken to the electrocution chamber. There was a single chair in the center of the room and a single banana peel at one corner of the room. The conductor was strapped to the chair and high current was given to him. But to everyone's amazement, he survived. The judge decided to set him free, and he returned to his profession.

After a few months, this time, a good looking middle aged woman tried to board the bus but the conductor didn't stop the bus. Unfortunately, this time also, the good looking middle aged woman came under the bus and died on the spot. Though he hadn't done anything wrong, but considering his past record the judge decided to set an example and gave him capital punishment.The conductor was again taken to the same electrocution chamber where there was a single chair in the center of the room and a single banana peel at one corner of the room. Life seems a big long sleep,

Some getting through, some falling dead.

First, getting past Java,
Like a soft peice of Guava,
Only hopeful paper for me,
To shower 'S' and fill with glee.

Networks used to be my area of interest,
But over the year i've lost the zest,
Still the paper i did was okay,
Would pass through with a C or B or A.

CD in the cycles, was too bad,
With the classes that I had,
But semesters have given some hope,
I would come around and an E(D) would rope.

Then came MIS, the best of all,
Gave answers huge for even questions small,
Finished the paper, for a change in time,
An A would be now worth all the dime.

Now's the turn of the Net with a dot,
The brightest of all the drak spot,
You never know what would be the grade,
What you get out of the lord's spade.

So finally the time's come,
To get out of the deep long slumber,
Lets see what the results hold,
With the Dumbs getting Dumber.

The Cycle Tests..

Uff...

Yet again came the wrath of the Cycle Tests at our department and we stay here to bear the burnt. Exams all went worse from the status of bad in the last cycle. Grades, don't know, where would they land by the sem end.

Whatever I still remember the "One Exam A Year" schedule of my Under Graduate college. How nicer were those days, just one exam for a full academic year. And the course so designed that we can finish it off in one month flat prior to the examinations.

But alas those days can never return, and we can't take a U-turn.

Just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping to pass out with a Grade.

So here am i announcing, with the success of the Infotrek just a few hours ago, that i am turning 22 this year's birthday. :)

Birthdays are always great, and one like this is bound to be exciting and fun. Everything was just turning out fabulous. I got the new cell from Mom and Dad, then just yesterday's great victories and the loving friends. Its all too great. I love it.

Had the traditional party at twelve at the night and had my share of all phone calls and all. Then the day was great, went out for lunch with my friend and then dinner in the evening with the GANG. :D

Had loads of sweets all around.
It was all bright and beautiful.

So here wishing myself
A Very Happy and Prosperous Birthday.

Success yet again : Infotrek

"So came the contest again,
With the mightiest of its wrath,
And honoured the ones who achieved,
All laurals in their path."

As one of my very good friends, says "Adding feathers to your cap", yet again the caps of many people became heavier, by the newly added feathers, and thankfully a few them landed onto mine too.

This time around the competition was cool, with lots of team coming from the BEs along with the teams from our department. And we at MCAs did excellently well and won many prizes.

Three of them landed on our teams' lap. Marketing, Surprise and Dumb C.
Dumb C was a great achievement, for the first time on our group was able to pull it off, and we won the second prize.

Surprise Event came as a surprise to us, since we were fifth in the prelims and coincidently the fourth team didn’t turn up giving us the opportunity and we came second.

The biggest win was the Marketing. We topped the prelims and the finals too. :) We got the product "Gunda School" to market to the general public. We were kinda busy with the other things going on and so didn’t prepare overnight. The event was at 2 o’clock and we started preparing at one thirty. Initially we thought of backing out but then it would have been bad. So decided to give it a go, with the only rehearsal done outside the hall just ten minutes before, we went on stage. By the time we left we were on top, with no doubts cast anywhere. The audience in applauses and laughs. And the result was no surprise.

Then I was short listed for the System Analyst too and did a great performance. But for the fourth time in a row, I was not able to get the prize for it. :(
But anyways the judge gave a noteworthy mention though.

And yes the glorious moment for me was during the end of the function before the awards ceremony. The judge Mr. N Sekar, announced me the best performer during the event and awarded me with a memento. It was jubilation at its peak, the audience just bursted in applause. It is least to say that I was flattered. It was great just great. On of the memorable moments in my life. :)

That was it. This time around the event was organized in a more efficient manner than the previous year. And the stage coordination was meticulous. Kudos to the juniors’ batch, who have a great coordination and organizing sense.

[For the uninitiated ones, Infotrek is the annual intra-college symposium conducted by the Students’ Chapter of ACM at NIT Trichy. The hosts are the students of Masters of Computer Application, of the Department of Computer Applications, NIT Trichy.]

Love and Dalliance...

(a translated excerpt from my entry in the creative writing contest of nittfest'05)

People say Love is eternal and Dalliance is mortal. I can’t say if there is there is a fundamental difference among them. But yes how I feel we are being lied.

Love has only a single life. It’s just for once and when it goes its gone for ever. It doesn’t get a new life, a second birth. Eternity graces dalliance. Dalliance, whether falls ruined or gratifies to the core, it just sows a seed of a new life that rises again.

Love needs a medium. Prose, songs, music, sketches, dreams. Dalliance itself is the medium. The sense of being one eternally, even for just few moments makes it complete in itself...

Life is very long and world is even bigger,
So the argument will not cease.
People will not stop nor hesitate,
Going the better way they please.
For love is eternal, austere,
Unembellished, pure, as they think,
Whatever be the case, dalliance,
Would be a step ahead ( ;) wink ).

Uff... Life's going pretty boring these days...

Too much of classes have taken the fun outta the daily routine, am even missing the test matches between India and Pakistan. Shit...

Here goes a few lines sung in the glory of the chaat life am leading...

nittfest '05

A fun filled Cultural Festival.
Comes every year.
3 full days of sound sleep.
(at least for us in computer applications department :D )

But this year it was different. We did form a small team to represent our department in the festival (although the planning was done during the middle of the night before). We did put up a great show, but yes did'nt win any prizes. Anyways as they say 'Participation is more important that Winning' (darn whoever said this...!!!) so we are still happy. Maybe next year, or the year next to that, or beyond... [lets see] We would come out with flying colors.

Me as such participated in few events, Quiz, Shipwreck, and quite surprisingly (even for me) in Hindi Creative Writing. But the result, same square one. But anyways i am down but not out... Will bounce back in the next event (of course if i qualify the prelims).

So that was it. My topic for the Creative Writing was also a bit different maybe will share that after a few days.
